Pope John X of Alexandria

Pope John X of Alexandria was the Coptic Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark (1363–1369).

Pope Johannes X, 85th Pope (d. AD 1369).43 Nothing is known about his life except that he was from Damascus and his sobriquet was Al-Mu-tamen Al-Shamy (the Damascene entrusted [with the Church]). The sobriquet indicates that he was found worthy to be entrusted with the Church.
